CATFISH IN SAUCE


BAGRE EN SALSA CRIOLLA

Ingredients
  • 2 slices of catfish
  • ½ tablespoon of butter
  • ¼ cup of coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • ½ chopped onion
  • A handful of coriander


Instructions
  1. Cook the catfish fillets with butter and milk. Season with salt to taste.
  2. Cover the pot over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  3. To prepare the sauce, sauté the garlic, tomatoes, onion and cilantro in a little oil.
  4. Add salt to taste.
  5. Stir gently and remove from heat when ingredients are soft and have a sauce consistency.
  6. Add the sofrito to the catfish and let it simmer for about 3 minutes.
  7. Serve the catfish in a tray or plate and cover it completely with the Creole sauce.
  8. Accompany rice, avocado salad, patacones or yucca.
