LEARN TO PREPARE A DELICIOUS RICE PUDDING!

       Ingredients
    (6 to 8 servings)


  • 1 cup washed white rice
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups of water
  • 4 cups of milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 butter spoons
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 1 (12 ounces) condensed milk

       Preparation

  1. In a small pot, add water and cinnamon chips, bring to boil and cook for 10 minutes. Reserve and discard cinnamon chips.
  2. Place the rice and cinnamon water in a large pot over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add salt, butter, vanilla extract, 2 cups of milk and sugar. Stir well to mix and cook uncovered for approximately 15 minutes.
  4. Reduce the fire to medium-low. Add the rest of the milk and the condensed milk. Stir with a wooden spoon. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the rice pudding thickens.
  5. Stir well and remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. The consistency must be very creamy. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.

  Rice pudding thickens more as it cools, so be careful not to let it burn.
